COLLISION THEORY
a novel
Adrian Todd Zuniga

Rare Bird Books, April 2018

“Collision Theory is hard book to categorize―part ghost story, part slacker comedy, part grief chronicle―but an easy one to enjoy. Adrian Todd Zuniga’s first novel is creepy, funny, and full of dark surprises.”
―Tom Perrotta, author of The Leftovers and Mrs. Fletcher

"Fast-paced, intense, and emotional, Zuniga delivers a breakneck debut."
―J. Ryan Stradal, New York Times bestselling author of Kitchens of the Great Midwest

“Adrian Todd Zuniga has written sensitive and offbeat debut novel that veers between the absurdities specific to being a young man finding his way in a confusing world and the gut punches that every person with a sick or dying parent will recognize as universal. Fast paced and filled with surprises, I loved it."
―Michael Ian Black, New York Times bestselling author of You're Not Doing It Right

"Adrian Todd Zuniga is a brilliant human, a huge book nerd, and, I'm pleased to report, a wonderfully talented writer. A great storyteller onstage and off, he's finally given us a novel. Beautiful, funny, and weird, it's a damn good read."
―Sara Benincasa, author of Agorafabulous!

Thomas Mullen is struggling. Everything for him feels at risk, spiked with threat, since he witnessed a woman jump to her death fifteen months ago. Now there are the pleading calls from his parents to come home, please come home. But it is not until his best friend shows up unannounced that Thomas is awakened. He soon finds himself on an unpredictable journey in which he is forced to confront difficult truths: girlfriend’s leave, mother’s fall ill, and attempts to deny pain will ultimately fail.
